Ever since I read about ribbon bookmarks on Sparrow's Nest, I have been obsessed with finding patterns. She made the CUTEST baby gift basket and included a ribbon bookmark.
I could not find any patterns for ribbon bookmarks (I am hoping she shares what she did).
But I did find several tutorials on BOOK THONGS! LOL!! Not the most modest name, but fun nonetheless.
These are easy and fun. Even a child can do these! These are selling for like $7.50 on the web! WOW!!! Just imagine if you made some and sold them for like $4! :) Great little home business to get the kids in on (can you tell I am a fan of the Moore's?)
Crocheted Book Thong from Crochet Me.
This one is done with cord.
This one has to be my favorite of what I have seen so far! It is a ribbon bookmark. I also like how she attached it to a handmade card (thought of you Rebecca! I still have the hand made card you made me!).
Ok, so I don't know why I did not just search Martha Stewart to begin with. She has a tutorial on ribbon bookmarks! They are BEAUTIFUL!
Here is a great tutorial on making felt and ribbon bookmarks.
A different take on the felt and ribbon bookmarks tutorial.
A book thong/ribbon bookmark in a matchbox would be sure a cute gift! And a great way to make a presentation for the bookmarks if you are wanting to sell them.
HAVE FUN!!!
