My beloved and I have a sticker on our credit cards / checkbooks / cash envelope that might be beneficial to you too. It was actually my beloved’s idea. He was reading a Larry Burkett book and came across a list of questions you were to ask yourself before every purchase. He thought it would be good to print it out on stickers and place the stickers on every form of payment we have. (We printed them out on labels --- like address labels.)
EVALUATE EVERY PURCHASE BEFORE BUYING.
*Does it enhance God’s work through you?
*Is it a necessity?
*Can you do without it?
*Is it the best possible buy?
*Does it add to your family relationships?
*Will it depreciate quickly?
*Will it require costly upkeep?
I modified it a bit today after reading some decluttering articles.
EVALUATE EVERY PURCHASE BEFORE BUYING.
*Does it enhance God’s work through me?
*Does it add to family relationships?
*Is it a necessity or can I do without it??
*Am I spending money to bring more clutter into our life?
*Is it the best possible buy?
*Will it depreciate quickly or require costly upkeep??
*Is there something I want more than this that I can save this money for?
*Where will this go in my home?

Nice site you have here.
We've been trying to totally get out of debt and not spend anything on credit. We should be debt free pretty soon.
Good to see someone else with the conviction to do what the Lord commands!
